Across the UK, many historic buildings, museum collections and important stories risk being lost as sites close, communities change and funding becomes more difficult.
Cove Charitable Trust exists to preserve these places, protect important collections, and make history accessible through engaging museums, educational programmes and public experiences.
By bringing history to life, we help people understand the past, reflect on the present, and inspire future generations.
Our Objectives
The Trust exists to advance education through museums and heritage by:
- Preserving prison history, artefacts and museum collections.
- Protecting historic buildings and places of heritage significance.
- Developing educational programmes that bring history to life.
- Supporting public engagement with museums and heritage sites.
- Preserving and promoting the Julia Park Barry Lifeboat Museum and other collections entrusted to our care.
